Weapons ChargesThe Texas Penal code deals with weapons related charges in Chapter 46. Listed below are just a few excerpts of related charges that our office will defend! §46.02 Unlawful Carrying Weapons: It is a criminal offense for a person to intentionally, knowingly or recklessly, to carry a “handgun, illegal knife, or club,” on or about his person. Generally, a criminal offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor, but under certain circumstances the offense is a Felony. §46.035 Unlawful Carrying of Handgun by License Holder: Generally, but not all inclusive a license holder commits a Criminal Offense if he or she carries the weapon to a prohibited location, regardless of whether the firearm is concealed, or if he or she is intoxicated while carrying a handgun(regardless of concealment). §46.04 Unlawful Possession of Firearm |
